About Me

My name is Emmanuel and I am currently living in Cincinnati working for Procter and Gamble. I grew up in Pittsburgh and attended college at Penn State University. During my time through high school and college, I was always looking for and active in groups/clubs that provided leadership opportunities. I found this was always a great way to meet new people and it absolutely shaped the person I am today.

One of my most memorable experiences in college was my four-month time abroad in Barcelona, Spain where my eyes were opened to a completely new and different world beyond my Pennsylvania bubble. One of my favorite things about P&G is the work. P&G's supply chain has been recognized as one of the best supply chains in the world. Due to that, I am currently working in one of the best supply chains in the world where I am always being asked to find deficiencies and identify the next big thing for supply chain management. I don't know about you but knowing that I am being challenged by such a complex supply chain to find improvements excites me because it is almost as if they are saying you can't get better than this, or can we? It is on me to find the solution.

Why did you choose P&G over other opportunities?

I chose P&G over other opportunities because of the possibilities that exist within the company. Being so large, P&G offers me endless roles that I can move into to find my true calling. P&G also operates all over the world so knowing I will eventually be working with global partners was a big selling point for me. Another large reason I chose P&G was because they dedicate so many resources to developing their employees. P&G is a promote within company so I already know that P&G is planning on me being promoted multiple times to become a future leader of the company. They also offer endless amounts of training programs and organizations to help you develop your career.

What level of responsibility and influence do you feel as a new hire?

It shocked me how much responsibility P&G gave me from my hire date. They expected me to be the leader of multiple teams to deliver customized projects to our customers. On average, I was managing the execution and timing of about 80 projects to ensure we are delivering on time to our customer needs. Another large responsibility P&G gave me is being a manager. I currently manage 6 SIP planners who all vary in age and years with the company. Managing others has been extremely eye opening because you are responsible for their salary planning, career development, and support for any issues that may arise. As far as influence goes, I know my ideas and thoughts are being heard and reviewed. I am always being asked for my input and opinions. Even this questionnaire is proof of the influence I have that P&G looks for from their new hires.

What level of importance does P&G place on your own personal development?

Off the start, P&G made sure to get me setup with my personal development. Work and Development plans were initiated, mentors and sponsors were identified, and training opportunities were constantly sent my way for me to review and participate.

What advice would you give to candidates that are considering joining P&G and SNO?

If you are looking for a company that 100% invests time, money and resources into their employees, P&G will be a good fit for you. If you are looking for a career, not job, that will constantly challenge you and keep your busy, P&G will be a good fit for you. If you are looking for a company that expects their new hires to be the future leaders of their company, P&G will be a good fit for you. If you are looking for a company that works with you to find the dream job you wanted, P&G will be a good fit for you. My overall advice for candidates looking at P&G is to apply to work at P&G not for the role but for the company. If your work style and beliefs line up with P&G practices every day, apply to P&G and know that once you are accepted into the company, P&G will work with you side by side to accelerate you to what you choose within the company.
